John J. Upchurch

John J. Upchurch

This hard-to-read stone is at the foot of John Jackson Upchurch's main headstone.
It's sunken and overgrown with grass making the words quite hard to read:
It is presumably the first stone put in place after John died as it only has info about his death on it.
Most likely the previous photo's headstone was set it place at a later date.

When I found this stone, I thought it was his military stone since it was
at the foot of his grave. John Jackson Upchurch was in the Army during WWI.
